1. The Service
Illuminate AI provides: anonymous chat therapy with licensed therapists, encrypted voice/video calls, mood tracking, private journaling, guided meditation, and moderated peer community circles. We're a technology platform connecting you with care ? not a medical provider.
2. Not Emergency Care
Critical: Illuminate AI is not emergency or crisis services. If you're in danger or thinking of harming yourself, call emergency services (112 in India) or iCall at 9152987821 immediately. Our therapists cannot provide emergency intervention.
3. Eligibility
- You must be 18+ years old
- You must provide accurate information
- One account per person
- You're responsible for your account security
4. Your Content & Conduct
- You own what you write (messages, journal, posts)
- Don't use the platform for illegal activities, harassment, spam, or impersonation
- Community circles: follow the circle guidelines, respect other members
- We may remove content that violates these terms or poses safety risks
5. Therapist Relationship
- Therapists are independent licensed professionals registered with RCI/state councils, not our employees
- The therapist-client relationship is between you and your therapist
- We provide the platform; clinical decisions are your therapist's
- You can switch therapists anytime
6. Subscriptions & Billing
- Free tier: no charge, limited features
- Paid plans: monthly billing in INR (?), auto-renews unless cancelled
- Cancel anytime in settings ? access continues until period ends
- No refunds for partial months (but contact us if something's wrong)
- Prices inclusive of applicable GST
7. Privacy & Data
Your data is protected per our Privacy Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Key points: end-to-end encryption for therapy, you can delete everything anytime, we don't sell your data.
8. Disclaimers
- Service provided "as is" ? no guarantees of specific outcomes
- Therapy effectiveness varies; we don't promise cures
- AI features (mood insights, content suggestions) are assistive, not clinical
- We don't warrant uninterrupted or error-free service
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Illuminate AI and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
- You can delete your account anytime (Settings ? Delete Account)
- We may suspend/terminate for terms violations after notice (except safety emergencies)
- On termination: your data deleted per retention policy, subscriptions cancelled
11. Governing Law & Disputes
Governed by laws of India. Disputes resolved in Bengaluru courts. You can also contact our Grievance Officer per IT Rules, 2021: grievance-officer.
12. Changes
We'll notify you 30 days before material changes. Continued use = acceptance. If you disagree, delete your account before the change takes effect.
